The owners, Richard and Regen were exceptional to work with and were very responsive with any questions we had. Richard helped us out with the wedding video ahead of time to make sure it would play smoothly on the overhead projector and screen and also helped us make sure we had enough power in the kitchen for Waffle Love to run their commercial waffle makers. Besides the beautiful inside of the venue, we used the gorgeous outdoor patio for guests to visit and dance. This was the perfect venue for us and it couldn’t have been a more perfect day!

Our role is to simplify the venue side of the process by providing a well cared for space and nearly everything you need for a smooth, comfortable, and memorable celebration. With one all inclusive wedding offering, you won’t be sorting through tiers or add ons, just a clear, thoughtful experience designed to work.
Huntsville Mercantile is a newly restored historic 1890s mercantile turned event center, located in the heart of Huntsville’s small town downtown. The space is designed to host wedding ceremonies and receptions of all styles, whether you’re planning something intimate or welcoming up to 250 guests. Indoor and outdoor areas are included, giving you flexibility to move inside or out depending on the day, the weather, and your vision.
What’s Included in Our Wedding Package
Our wedding package is designed to cover the essentials so you can focus on the people and the celebration, not the logistics.
- Venue access from 9:00 am to 11:00 pm (10:00 pm quiet time)
- Indoor and outdoor spaces included, with flexibility to move between them
- Tables and up to 175 chairs
- State of the art audio and video system
- Quality wireless microphones
- Outdoor portable audio system available
- Prep kitchen with commercial refrigerator
- Serving tables, cake tables, and gift tables
- Plenty of free, on site parking
- Open vendor policy you’re welcome to bring your own vendors or choose from our preferred list
- Recently improved outdoor areas, including new patios, walking paths, dance space, photo locations, and nearly 6,000 square feet of new sod

How many guests can Huntsville Mercantile accommodate?
Huntsville Mercantile is well suited for celebrations ranging from smaller, intimate gatherings up to approximately 250 guests. The combination of indoor and outdoor space allows for flexibility depending on your guest count and event layout.
How long do we have access to the venue on our wedding day?
You’ll have access to the venue from 9:00 am to 11:00 pm, with a 10:00 pm quiet time. This allows plenty of time for setup, your celebration, and a relaxed end to the evening without feeling rushed.
Do we have to use specific vendors?
No. Once booked, we’re happy to share our preferred vendor list as a helpful resource, but you’re always welcome to use your own vendors as well. We don’t require exclusive partnerships and we don’t take a percentage of vendor fees.
What is included with the venue rental?
Our all inclusive wedding package includes indoor and outdoor event spaces, tables and up to 200 chairs, audio and video equipment, wireless microphones, a prep kitchen with commercial refrigerator, serving tables, cake and gift tables, and plenty of free on site parking. Can we serve alcohol at our wedding?
Yes. We allow beer, wine, and champagne to be served at weddings. Hard liquor is not permitted. If you choose to serve alcohol, an alcohol service fee and our provided licensed bartender are required to ensure responsible service and a smooth experience for you and your guests. What happens if the weather changes?
One of the advantages of Huntsville Mercantile is having both indoor and outdoor spaces included. This allows you to adjust plans as needed and move comfortably inside or outside depending on weather conditions.
Is lodging available on site?
On site lodging is coming soon. Once available, it will allow close family and friends to stay right on the property, making it easier to enjoy more time together throughout the celebration.
